GRAFS CG-1500e

The GRAFS CG series grinder is designed for sharpening knives used mainly in the printing, woodworking and recycling industries. 

The grinder features a number of improvements that ensure high-quality sharpening over many years of use. It is equipped with a rotating electromagnetic chuck (in the CG-1500e model with a length of 1500 mm); knives can also be clamped with clamps on the other side of the table. Proper cooling of the sharpened surfaces is provided by a cooling system with a tank and a magnetic coolant separator with a rotating drum - model MS60. The filter and tank are housed inside the machine, reducing the space needed for the whole machine. Our design allows the machine to be installed in a small area, which is often crucial in modern production plants.
The standard grinding motor power is 5,5 kW. A special mounting holder developed in-house allows quick and easy removal and fitting of the grinding wheel using just three fixing screws.
The carriage is equipped with top-class linear rollers (PWTR) which ensures quiet and smooth operation. The carriage runs on hardened steel strips.
In addition, the grinder comes as standard with a carriage speed control system (potentiometer and inverter from Mitsubishi). In the CG model, the control cabinet with all switches is located on the left side of the body. Built with Schneider, Omron and Mitsubishi components. The body can additionally be fitted with bellows covers to prevent coolant spray. The machine is ideal for sharpening knives that require high rigidity, e.g. chipper knives, granulator knives, planer knives.

Our solutions in the GRAFS CG machine:
- Easy grinding wheel infeed with a handwheel (mechanical automatic ratchet infeed available as an option),
- Easy grinding wheel fitting (a special holder designed in-house allows quick wheel fitting with three clamping screws - a so-called bayonet mount),
- Efficient sharpening of both soft and hardened steels such as: NC11LV, HSS, WIDIA cemented carbides,
- Internal tank with coolant pump (standard), separator as an option,
- Rigid, strong, vibration-free design: body welded from 10 mm plates with ribbing for high rigidity, carriage and slide made of 20 mm steel plates,
- 5,5 kW grinding wheel motor, IE3 standard (Polish-made motor with special reinforced spindle bearings eliminating axial play),
- Strong electromagnetic chuck with a working surface of 150x1500 mm
- Table with a T-slot for clamping knives with clamps (e.g. for clamping 4 knives at once),
- Any grinding wheel can be fitted (CBN, DIA, segmented) - diameter from 175 to 200 mm,
- Stepless carriage speed control from 1 to 12 m/min (using a potentiometer knob),
- Precise, adjustable upper scale showing the grinding motor position,
- Scale showing the rotation angle of the magnetic table,
- Option to fit additional bellows covers on the machine body,
- Option to connect any type of coolant filter to the machine - magnetic, fleece or a combined set.

The CG grinder is a 100% Polish product built exclusively with European components. The machine has all the required electrical tests, an operating manual in Polish and an EU declaration of conformity (CE mark).
