Non-woven coolant separator PS60 – precise filtration of machining fluid

PS60 is a reliable device for filtering non-magnetic contaminants from coolant, such as abrasive particles, ceramic dust, fine sludge from grinding cemented carbides and non-ferrous metals. Thanks to the use of a special non-woven filter media, it ensures a high level of machining fluid purification, which translates into extended tool life and stable machining processes.

The separator can operate independently or in tandem with a magnetic separator (e.g., MS60) to create a complete filtration system.

Operating principle

Contaminated coolant flows by gravity onto the surface of the non-woven filter media. Contaminants settle on the material's surface, forming a "secondary filter" that increases the efficiency of particle retention.

When the coolant level rises to a specified point, the float sensor activates the advancement of the used non-woven material. A new section of fabric is automatically drawn in, and the purified coolant returns to the tank and then – via a pump – back to the machine.
